Meet James Entwisle
An industry veteran with over 38 years of experience.
James has had the privilege of working with some of the most prestigious haircare brands in our industry including Kerastase, SHU UEMURA, Bumble and Bumble, AVEDA, and ORIBE.
His passion for the industry is exemplified in his latest creation… OLP – A SALON BY JAMES ENTWISLE.
OLP stands for Old Las Palmas, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Palm Springs. The salon is located in the heart of the Uptown Design District in a 1938 Spanish Revival style building that harkens back to the history and glamour of the Golden Age of Hollywood.
Step inside and you will find a modern oasis with opulent amenities and the latest equipment including custom designed stations from Italy, articulating shampoo bowls from France, and the finest Takara Belmont styling chairs!
The spa treatment rooms are equally impressive with automated massage equipment from Earthlite, ergonomic multifunction spa tables, and wet treatment rooms to expand on your professional spa services.

Meet Our Team
Mark Cole - Stylist
Originally hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Mark Cole got his start at the prestigious Gene Juarez Salons Academy of Beauty in Seattle Washington. His passion for hairstyling soon led him to their advanced training center and then on to their flagship salon in downtown Seattle. His training was focused around Vidal Sasoon’s way of precision hair cutting. With over 20 years of experience, Mark specializes in creating custom color and highlights that seamlessly blend with each client’s haircut. He believes that effective communication is key to understanding and prioritizing a client’s desired look that also works well with their individual lifestyle. Mark’s foremost goal is to ensure that each client feels comfortable, heard, and understood throughout their experience. Notably, he had the privilege of serving as Melinda French Gates’ hairdresser during his time in Seattle and was also the “go to hairdresser “ for the models from The Seattle Models Guild. Now, as he transitions to the vibrant Old Las Palmas Salon in downtown Palm Springs, Mark is excited for this new chapter!

Marcy is originally a Boston native. She relocated to Aspen Colorado and spent the next 40 years making a significant mark as a hairstylist. During her time in Aspen, she owned and operated M Salon, one of Aspen’s premier salons for the last 20 years. Marcy believes your look is her passion and that still holds true today. As a salon owner in a global destination community, Marcy’s clientele included locals, visitors, travelers from around the world, as well as celebrities and dignitaries.
Now permanently residing in Palm Springs, California, Marcy enjoys the sun and the vibrant lifestyle of the area. Jason Hurst - Stylist
Licensed from the Aveda Academy in 1997, Jason has been mentored by top professionals all over the world, from Vidal Sassoon advanced training in Toronto to Fashion/editorial work in Amsterdam, Jason has worked with the best of the best including Aveda’s artistic team and as a Balayage artist with L’Oreal Professional in New York City. Jason worked as a curly hair specialist and trainer with DevaCurl in NYC before relocating to Los Angeles.
Jason quickly built a successful clientele in Sherman Oaks and more than a decade later, has brought his craft here to the desert. Specializing in curly hair, hair color formulation and corrections, and dry hair cutting, Jason looks forward to helping you find your full hair potential.

In his 40+ years of experience, Brent has worked in some of the finest salons in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood and was the color educator at both The Aveda Institute, L.A. and Paul MItchell, The School/ Pasadena. Although he has a passion for all aspects of hair design, he particularly enjoys color and color correction. In his spare time Brent enjoys performing in local theater and has been nominated for several acting awards from The Desert Theater League and Broadway World and won a directing award. Brent is thrilled to join the OLP team and looks forward to meeting you!

Michael - Certified Massage Therapist
My favorite bodywork combo starts with the Swedish style tissue warm up, followed by lots of deep tissue workflow of medium to firm pressure with connecting strokes of classic massage and some elements of shiatsu and myofascial therapy if needed.
While keeping you conscious and aware, I will deliver deep yet detailed massage. The focus of the therapy is to balance your mind and body state. Whilst falling in and out of the deep relaxation you will reach the parasympathetic state of healing.
I have gained massage therapy skills during my studies in San Francisco and Los Angeles Schools of Massage and Bodywork. I developed my practical experience under the supervision of experienced licensed spa service providers, supported by medical environment physical therapists and other certified practitioners.
I am certified by the California Massage Therapy Council. I work with post injury and post trauma recovery. I gladly accept FSA and HSA accounts, ClassPass and Veteran Affairs doctor referrals.

Nothing could define Ali and her massage practice better than that quote. She dedicates 110% to each client exclusively. After playing competitive sports for decades and having a history with her own chronic pain from serious injury, Ali knows what it’s like to hurt and need help. She has built a substantial clientele of athletes and clients dealing with injuries and chronic pain.
Moderate to deep tissue is her wheelhouse, but every treatment is customized to fit your needs. If you just want a soothing relaxing touch- she can fill that need too. Additionally Ali is knowledgeable in Myofascial Cupping, IASTM Graston Techniques/muscle scraping, EFT & Reflexology. When Ali is not helping her clients’ pain, she is caring for the elder rescue dogs she takes in.
